RIGEL is committed to safety and quality management and fully complies with the International Safety Manage-
ment Code (ISM/ISPS Code Compliance) and Tanker Management and Self Assessment (TMSA). A consistent quality management together with our highly qualified, experienced and responsible staff onshore and at sea, is a guarantee for safe and economical operation of the fleet. A continuing education and training programme as well as future-oriented improvement of our quality system ensures that international standards are met at any time and surpassed. Regular audits of management onshore and at sea together with the shipping company’s self-imposed quality manual, which documents all safety- and environment-relevant processes, ensure compliance with all requirements and expectations of the oil companies and flag states. Each vessel passes up to seven annual inspections, so-called “vettings” by the oil companies every year – with best results.
